The 8th Sharjah Biennale was themed "Still Life: Art, Ecology and the Politics of Change".
For this Gharem exhibited photographic documentation of his performance Flora and Fauna. "In this performance the artist metaphorically receives respiration from the tree, which transforms his carbon dioxide into oxygen."
